To get to Mervyns Bench you can enter from Milford Bridge, go past
Barnes Bridge and walking away from the village the area is on the first
sharp bend. We will meet at 9.30am and usually finish around midday to
1pm. You can leave earlier. Don’t forget to bring strong gloves, some
cutters and water.

Small area of revetment
Small length of ditch clearance
Some ivy banding
A couple of bags of gravel on the path
Possible covering the boardwalk near the pond with planks
Himalayan Balsam pulling (a little further upstream)As you can probably be this covers some light tasks and some heavier tasks.

Tasks are planned with the parish council, and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths, bramble, rhododendron and hazel coppice, to heavier work like drainage, revetment or footpaths.

Volunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear, safety glasses and long trousers recommended. Depending on the season and weather bring along sunscreen and insect repellent and if you need it, and bring your own water/refreshments.
