We will be working on Studland Common again and clearing another scrub area.

Meeting Point

If you enter the Common from Pless Road, you cross the meadow and go through the gate where the bench is. We will be working about 100m up the path on the right hand side.

There will be a mix of tasks from light pruning to heavier removal of bramble. This will be our last opportunity to work in the scrub area until after the birds have nested as we do not want to cause any disturbance. Please remember to bring good gloves and some water. We will bring some tools but if you have your favourite secateurs etc you can bring your own tools.

I think the morning should be dry but who knows. If it is raining at 9.30 then the tasking will be called off.

Tasks are planned with the parish council, and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths, bramble, rhododendron and hazel coppice, to heavier work like drainage, revetment or footpaths.

Volunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear, safety glasses and long trousers recommended. Depending on the season and weather bring along sunscreen and insect repellent and if you need it, and bring your own water/refreshments.
