DESCRIPTION:FULL\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Point: Details on registration \n\n\n\nLeader: Gill Palmer \n\n\n\nOn Monday 30th September\, I am organising a boat trip on the beautiful Beaulieu river to view some of the birds that are prevalent on the river bank as the tide falls\, maybe even there resident seals! \n\n\n\nThis trip will take place on my sailing boat (we will motor not sail up and down the river!!) and will be restricted to 8 people on a first come first served basis! DESCRIPTION:Organiser: Adrian Palmer \n\n\n\nMeeting Point:  Footpath just upstream from Milford Bridge opposite the avenue of bamboo. \n\n\n\nTask: Clear invasive bamboo on the banks of the Danestream \n\n\n\nIf there are any volunteers who did not respond to email\, but can attend this task we are meeting at 10am on the footpath just upstream from Milford Bridge opposite the avenue of bamboo. Please bring a smile as you enjoy two hours in late summer sunshine\, protective gloves and footwear and of course fluids \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery effort will be made to keep to this date\, but changes can occur due to weather\, logistics\, to suit other involved parties or to avoid conflicting events. Generally an email will be sent to volunteers a week in advance with location and details of the task. It is possible that additional sessions will be added \, including at weekends if there is time critical\, or backlog of tasks to complete. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to join the list please fill in our contact form. \n\n\n\nTasks are generally planned with the parish council\, and wherever possible have a conservation theme. Most tasks are conservation management or maintenance and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths\, bramble\, rhododendron and hazel coppice\, to heavier work like drainage\, revetment or footpaths. Occasionally we do get opportunities to enhance or even create habitat for flora and fauna.  \n\n\n\nVolunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear\, safety glasses and  long trousers recommended. DESCRIPTION:Butterflies on Studland Common\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Point: Gate 12 Pless Road\, opposite Westminster Road \n\n\n\nLeader:  Tani Read \n\n\n\nTani is responsible for the butterfly transect at Studland Common that feeds into the Butterfly Conservation records. DESCRIPTION:Meeting Point:  Sturt Pond Bird Hide \n\n\n\nLeader: Keith Metcalf \n\n\n\nThe walk will be from the Hide to the Keyhaven Observatory along the coast taking in: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nnorth end of Sturt Pond LNR\n\n\n\nthe first part of the Spit along The Cut to second bridge (i.e. bridge to bridge)\n\n\n\nalong Saltgrass Lane viewing the farmland (north) and Mount Lake (south)\n\n\n\nalong the sea wall above Saltgrass Marsh and overlooking Keyhaven River area\n\n\n\nto Keyhaven Harbour\, finishing at\n\n\n\nthe bird Observatory.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHe will then do a return trip along the same route in reverse and hope to complete the walk back to Sturt Pond by about noon or soon after. \n\n\n\nDon’t forget your binoculars if you have them\, as you never know what might turn up! \n\n\n\nNew members are especially welcome. \n\n\n\nEither fill in the form so that we know to expect you\, or just turn up on the day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.Event *Name *FirstLastEmail *Contact numberComment or Message *Send

Generally an email will be sent to volunteers a week in advance with location and details of the task. It is possible that additional sessions will be added \, including at weekends if there is time critical\, or backlog of tasks to complete. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to join the list please fill in our contact form. \n\n\n\nTasks are generally planned with the parish council\, and wherever possible have a conservation theme. Most tasks are conservation management or maintenance and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths\, bramble\, rhododendron and hazel coppice\, to heavier work like drainage\, revetment or footpaths. Occasionally we do get opportunities to enhance or even create habitat for flora and fauna.  \n\n\n\nVolunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear\, safety glasses and  long trousers recommended.
