SUMMARY:Conservation Task
DESCRIPTION:Organiser: Adrian Palmer \n\n\n\nMeeting Point:   At gate between meadow and Studland Common. Entrance to meadow by Pless Road (Gate 12) opposite Westminster Road. \n\n\n\nTask: Scrub clearance maintenance to areas north/south of footpath from meadow gate to Pleasure Grounds. Tree planting in the Community Orchard. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery effort will be made to keep to this date\, but changes can occur due to weather\, logistics\, to suit other involved parties or to avoid conflicting events. Generally an email will be sent to volunteers a week in advance with location and details of the task. It is possible that additional sessions will be added \, including at weekends if there is time critical\, or backlog of tasks to complete. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to join the list please fill in our contact form. \n\n\n\nTasks are generally planned with the parish council\, and wherever possible have a conservation theme. Most tasks are conservation management or maintenance and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths\, bramble\, rhododendron and hazel coppice\, to heavier work like drainage\, revetment or footpaths. Occasionally we do get opportunities to enhance or even create habitat for flora and fauna.  \n\n\n\nVolunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear\, safety glasses and long trousers recommended. Bring waterproofs\, sunscreen and insect repellent as appropriate and bring your own water/refreshments. \n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Google Calendar \n \n \n \n iCalendar \n \n \n \n Outlook 365 \n \n \n \n Outlook Live

SUMMARY:Conservation Task
DESCRIPTION:We will be working on Studland Common again and clearing another scrub area. \n\n\n\nMeeting Point\n\n\n\nIf you enter the Common from Pless Road\, you cross the meadow and go through the gate where the bench is. We will be working about 100m up the path on the right hand side. \n\n\n\nThere will be a mix of tasks from light pruning to heavier removal of bramble. This will be our last opportunity to work in the scrub area until after the birds have nested as we do not want to cause any disturbance. Please remember to bring good gloves and some water. We will bring some tools but if you have your favourite secateurs etc you can bring your own tools. \n\n\n\nI think the morning should be dry but who knows. If it is raining at 9.30 then the tasking will be called off. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails of this event are sent to everyone on the volunteer task list. If you would like to join the list please fill in our contact form. \n\n\n\nTasks are planned with the parish council\, and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths\, bramble\, rhododendron and hazel coppice\, to heavier work like drainage\, revetment or footpaths. \n\n\n\nVolunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear\, safety glasses and long trousers recommended.
