DESCRIPTION:This has been rescheduled form 29th June \n\n\n\n\n\nTo get to Mervyns Bench you can enter from Milford Bridge\, go pastBarnes Bridge and walking away from the village the area is on the firstsharp bend. We will meet at 9.30am and usually finish around midday to1pm. You can leave earlier. Don’t forget to bring strong gloves\, somecutters and water. \n\n\n\nSmall area of revetmentSmall length of ditch clearanceSome ivy bandingA couple of bags of gravel on the pathPossible covering the boardwalk near the pond with planksHimalayan Balsam pulling (a little further upstream)As you can probably be this covers some light tasks and some heavier tasks. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDetails of this event are sent to everyone on the volunteer task list. If you would like to join the list please fill in our contact form.  \n\n\n\nTasks are planned with the parish council\, and vary from lighter clearance work e.g. footpaths\, bramble\, rhododendron and hazel coppice\, to heavier work like drainage\, revetment or footpaths. \n\n\n\nVolunteers should wear gloves and sturdy footwear\, safety glasses and  long trousers recommended. Depending on the season and weather  bring along sunscreen and insect repellent and if you need it\, and bring your own water/refreshments.
