Keyhaven Observatory Sightings

These much loved, monthly reports produced by Chris Barrass, give us a wonderful insight into the wildlife seen from the Keyhaven Observatory. The daily sightings on the Pans and Avon Water, together with spectacular photographs  are collated for us all to enjoy. Most days Chris will be at the observatory until 9am when he will be happy to answer questions.

Alternatively on the first Saturday of the month between 10 and 12 noon, Chris together with other MCV members with bird identification skills, will be on site at our “Drop In Birding Sessions” to which anyone is most welcome to attend.

The full list of Species Seen at the sight can be found here

Please note the following correction to page one of the July 2020 report:   A  juvenile Mediterranean Gull was mis-identified as a Common Gull.  Thanks to Simon Boswell and Richard Coomber for pointing out the error.
